Executive Board of ThyssenKrupp Technologies reduced in size
Dr.-Ing. Klaus Borgschulte (46), member of the Executive Board of ThyssenKrupp Technologies AG and Chairman of the Executive Board of ThyssenKrupp Marine Systems AG, has informed the Supervisory Board that he is resigning from his offices with immediate effect.
Dr. Borgschulte joined the Executive Board of ThyssenKrupp Technologies AG on October 01, 2003, and on January 05, 2005 he was appointed Chairman of the Executive Board of ThyssenKrupp Marine Systems AG, the company created from the merger of the HDW Group and the ThyssenKrupp shipyards which he successfully engineered. He was also Chairman of the Management Board of Blohm + Voss GmbH. He started his career in the Thyssen Group in 1990 and held various management positions within the Group.
The company and Dr. Borgschulte have agreed to a mutual parting of the ways due to differences over strategic issues.
As part of the downsizing of the Executive Board of ThyssenKrupp Technologies AG and subject to the approval of the Supervisory Board, Dr. Hans Christoph Atzpodien (51), a member of the Executive Board of ThyssenKrupp Technologies AG since 2001, will assume responsibility for the shipyards activity with immediate effect.
